But the most dangerous foe has been there all along, and when the truths are exposed and the lies come crumbling down, which side with Daemon and Katy be standing on? And will they even be together?

I’ve been a sucker for this series from the very first moment I sat down to read the first book, so of course when Origin graced bookshelves in stores, I bought it. Once again we are brought into the world of Daemon and Katy, and things couldn’t be more stressful. We have hunky Daemon threatening to kill anyone and everything that is getting in the way of his current mission. There is no stopping him. Katy is with Daedalus, and constantly worrying about Daemon. These two are one of my favorite fictional couples, because of how real they are. There is genuine concern shown for both of them, and while he’s an alien, they are still a pretty human couple. From the very first book, they were fighting, instead of straight up falling into each others arms. There was an automatic attraction (who wouldn’t be attracted to Daemon??) but it wasn’t one of those, “love at first sight, I’ll be with her forever and ever,” they tried to stay away, but eventually they got wrapped up in each other.

If you like stories that have a captivating plot, and romance, and plot twists, this is your kind of story. Who doesn’t like hot, hunky aliens?

(I mean, look at the cover!) Speaking of the cover, it was one of the selling points. While I wish it matched the rest of the books in the series (just for shelving purposes) I wouldn’t change a single thing about it. It looks like a movie poster and Pepe looks so damn hot as Daemon on it. And while it doesn’t match the rest, I feel like it suits the speed/theme/concept of the book.

This book is riveting from the first page, and I didn’t put it down, until I had read through it in about five hours (maybe). That was my mistake, because now I’m left waiting for the fifth book, dying to know what happens next. The ending to the book left me in dire need of more, and I usually find that when a book does that to me, then I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it. If you are a fan of “The Lux Series” or any of Jennifer’s other work, then I would definitely go check this book out.  It’s been awhile since I read the book, so I’m wracking my brain for things to say, but everything I come up with is spoilery and I don’t want to ruin the story. All I can say is, go read this if you haven’t yet.
