The Fictional Bucket List Tag

How often do we wish that we could just slip inside some of our favorite reads, and experience that world?

For me, it’s often.

Especially in 2020…any escape would be fantastic.

I read so many amazing books, it’s can honestly be hard not wishing that they were real. I’m sure you know exactly what I’m talking about. That book that just pulls at your soul, that you desperately wish were real – a real place that you could go and visit and experience, in real life, in person. Or maybe you want that fictional character to be real, because they’re just so perfect.

Basically, the idea of this tag is to list place and something(s) you’d want to do while you visited these fictional worlds – places you’d like to visit, experiences you’d love to have and/or people you’d like to meet. I think I’m going to struggle with picking which worlds to choose from! Since that is going to be the case, I’m limiting myself to 10 fictional worlds. Otherwise we’d all be here all day.

I first saw this tag over on Scorpio Book Dreams, but I think Jesse the Reader was the creator of this tag. I’ve linked both of their Fictional Bucket Lists, so make sure you check them out!

Daevabad Trilogy // Experience Daevabad with either Dara or Ali

I’m currently super immersed in this world and would legit die if I got to see it in real life, firsthand. I’m also a tad obsessed, so I’m sure that plays a part.

Harry Potter // Go to Hogwarts

There will always be a part of me that will wish for my Hogwarts acceptance letter. I just want to go and experience everything…though, maybe not everything Harry went through…

Dark Shores Series // Travel with Marcus or Killian

I’m weak. What do you expect? Apart from the fact that I find Rome/Roman inspired things very interesting (Rome is one of my favorite cities) Marcus and Killian are hot. It’s shameless, but this is a bucket list, so who cares.

Stalking Jack the Ripper Series // Date Thomas Cresswell

I’M SORRY OKAY? But I totally would visit this world with the sole intention of dating him and listening to him talk. British accent anyone?

A Court of Thorns and Roses // Befriend the Inner Circle

I mean…I think this is self-explanatory.

House of Earth and Blood // Visit Crescent City

A fantasy land where cellphones work? Can you imagine the Instagram pics?? Lol, just kidding. I’m not one for big cities, but I would still like to see it at least once…as if it were a real place.

Air Awakens Series // Visit the Solaris Empire/world

This is one of my favorite series, and I’m always inspired at the world Elise created. It’s vast and diverse and full of so many secrets. It would be really cool to travel there and explore.

The Bridge Kingdom Series // See the Bridge

The world is stunning, but I’ve always had a tad trouble fully visualizing the bridge, so I’d love to see it in person.

The Lux Series // Move in next door to Daemon

Yes, I fully take over Katy’s role in the series. It’s Daemon, ‘nuff said.

Narnia // self-explanatory

Do I really need to explain this one? It’s Narnia. Take me on a hero’s journey through a wardrobe!

Let me know if you do this tag! I’d love to see your bucket lists!

  1. Love this! I’m with you – I want to sail with Marcus or Killian, befriend the inner circle of the Night Court, and move in next to Daemon. I’m 400 pgs into House of Earth and Blood and wouldn’t mind hangin out there for a day or two either. 🙂

    1. Woo! Glad the things I would love are relatable lol 🙈
Yay! I hope you enjoy the rest of the book! The ending is probably the best, cinematic, and totally made me cry.

      1. I’m afraid to finish it. Everyone says the last 150 pages or so are super emotional, and I know it’s going to destroy me. lol I also just finished reading Six of Crows (LOVED it!!) and am almost halfway through Crooked Kingdom. I’m thinking the end of this one might also be my undoing. 🙂 🙂

      2. Yeah, the ending wrecked me. It’s def going to leave you desperate for book 2. I read Six of Crows ages ago, but I do remember some of the emotions I had during the ending of Crooked Kingdom. Pretty sure I cried.
        Have fun!! 🙈
