3 Books That Hit My Radar Pt. 2

Y’all know that I like bringing new books to your attention, so I’m back with some more books!

Shocker, I know.

I was going to post a review today, but I’m exhausted and didn’t have it in me to find the brain power to write it. But it’s all good! I’m sure you’ve guessed it by now, but I definitely have a One-Click problem, and I have some new recs for you. Now, I haven’t read these yet, because work is eating up all my reading time (as long as it’s not an audiobook) so books are sitting woefully unread. You’d think that I’d just stop buying them…HA, no.

But, let’s jump into this post and here are 3 books that may or may not interest you.

My Song’s Curse (Duet of the Gods #1) – Poppy Minnix

GR

Ultimate control has its downside, especially when it comes to romance. But will it be enough to keep them together?

As a siren, Lula Aglaope can bend anyone to her will with the smallest whisper, but she’d give up her power for one meaningful, honest conversation.

She wants a normal life, like the open, true connections the humans seem to pull off with such little effort.

When she meets Alexiares, God of Warding off Wars, all thoughts of normalcy fly out the window. The beautiful demigod cannot be controlled! He’s frustrating, irresistible…and utterly off-limits.

Alex has watched Olympus slowly fall apart. The old gods continue their archaic control of the Universe, denying the progress of humans and other deities. But Alex has plans to repair the damage, and Lula is a major player.

She just doesn’t know it yet.

Falling for her is the worst idea. And just when things move in the right direction, danger arises that no one expects, plunging the sirens into the deadly Olympian spotlight.

With Lula’s sisters missing, and a pile of broken laws surrounding them, will Alex and Lula change the Universe for the better or destroy it?

Pathways (The Kingdom Chronicles #1) – Camille Peters

GR

Eileen has never been interested in love. Ever since her father’s abandonment, she’s vowed to never experience such pain again. But the enchanted forest has different ideas. When the continuously shifting pathways lead her to a mysterious stranger, Eileen finds her promise to fiercely guard her heart increasingly difficult to keep.

One night when she becomes lost in a storm, the enchanted forest’s pathways lead her to the castle, home to the kingdom’s Dark Prince, where Eileen finds herself entangled in what many consider an opportunity but which Eileen believes to be a curse: competing for the Dark Prince’s hand through a series of tests that judge one’s royal worth. Eileen is neither royal nor interested in becoming a princess. But the mysterious stranger she met in the woods has his own reasons for helping her succeed, although the cost of his assistance may be too high: that of Eileen’s heart, the one thing she’s vowed never to give.

Inspired by “The Princess and the Pea” and “Rumpelstiltskin”

Sanctum (Blackwater Pack #1) – Hannah McBride

GR

A survivor on the run

Barely escaping with her life, Skye Markham and her mother flee their sadistic pack and seek sanctuary within Blackwater. Against all odds, Skye tries to create a new life for herself. A life she thought only existed in dreams is now within reach.

An alpha with a pack to protect

Remy Holt has spent years guarding his pack – his family – from threats as the next alpha in line. When the Blackwater pack decides to help the Markhams, Skye becomes one of his own … In more ways than one, if his wolf has anything to say about it.

A bond unlike any other

As Skye and Remy’s lives collide, the shifter world starts to implode. Missing shifters, a dying population, and pack wars are causing their sanctuary to crumble around them. Skye thought she was finally safe … but maybe there’s no such thing.

I can’t wait to read all of these. I need time to read…when I’m not exhausted. I miss physically reading. Audiobooks are wonderful, but they’re not the same.

Let me know if you’ve read any of these, or plan on reading them! Also, let me know if you want more of these kinds of posts!
