Well, it’s the end of another month…well just about the end.
The fact that 2020 is almost over and NYE still feels like it was last week, or something is crazy.
Where the hell has the year gone?
I’m still not really watching that much, outside of the few shows I watch on live TV. I can’t wait to have the time and energy to catch up on everything. But here we go!
READING:
The Empire of Empty Wars (The Serpents and Kings Trilogy #2) – S.M Gaither
Omfg. This book. I’m so anxious to see how it all ends, but I’m also really apprehensive because I don’t want it to end. I’m in love with this series, the world and the characters and I don’t want it to be over. I need certain characters to die, because I fucking hate them, but overall I’m so glad I decided to start reading the first book.
Graves for Drifters and Thieves – Sophia Minetos
I’m a little behind in starting this, since I wanted to have it read this month, but I’m 13% in and I’m waiting for when I can binge it. I was honestly a little uncertain, since “wild west” stories aren’t really my thing, but there’s a fantasy element and the author reached out and sent me a copy to review. And to my surprise I was immediately invested and if I hadn’t been so damn tired when I started it, I probably would have stayed up all night reading it.
Rebel (Starlatten #2) – Darby Cupid
I’m really only a few pages into this, but I’m looking forward to finding out what happens next. I really enjoyed the first book in this series, so when the author reached out asking if I would be interested in reading an advanced copy, I agreed. My plan is to knock it out this weekend since it’s a holiday one, and therefore I’ll have a little bit of time.
WATCHING:
Grey’s Anatomy/Station 19 (Live TV)
So, we’re back to Mer seeing dead people. Got it. Honestly, I’m not really a fan of this season so far. I get why their doing COVID and the pandemic, but at the same time, I wish they’d gone a different route. If I weren’t so emotionally invested, I might skip this season, as the show is starting to feel like it’s run its course.
I typically only watch Station 19 since it comes on right before Grey’s, but I do enjoy it and I love seeing characters cross over. I’m not as invested as I am with Grey’s, but I like the plot and the characters enough.
The Undoing (HBO)
This wasn’t my choice, but my dad’s and I got sucked in. It’s a suspense/thriller and it’s kind of addicting. I hate that I have to wait each week for a new episode. I wish the whole season were already out.
Fear the Walking Dead & TWD: World Beyond
Fear is easily the best TWD show out right now. I’m really enjoying it and the journey the characters are on. But as for World Beyond – I’m still not really feeling it. It feels like a whole lot of nothing happens each week and we’re no further along in figuring stuff out. I really only watch it because it comes on right after Fear and I’m definitely too emotionally invested in the world of TWD.
