So, I mentioned that I *might* be doing this in a post last week, and here we are!
I started doing this series because I honestly didn’t have the time to put out longer posts. I also love promoting books and so often I see the same books promoted over and over. So, I wanted to do something a little different. I started sharing the books that social media advertised to me, that I sporadically found trolling Amazon and Goodreads. I never imagined that the posts would do as well as they have, and I really didn’t expect your responses of “I just added these to my TBR!” and “I just bought these, they sound amazing!” I didn’t expect the support from the authors or just the enthusiasm in general. So, I’m beyond thrilled that this series is doing so well, and I totally plan on continuing it into next year.
I had a lot of plans for this blog this year – hit a higher view goal than the previous month and hit 500 followers. Y’all I’ve exceeded all those goals and then some and as a way to say thank you I feel like giving back, but I want to also support some of these authors and their books that aren’t constantly over your social feeds. Not knocking the popular books, but they tend to get a lot more attention.
So, I’ve decided to do a giveaway. It’s the holiday season, and though Christmas might be over, I feel like giving back.
This is going to be a really simple Giveaway – only a few rules.
There will be 5 winners – each winner will win 1 eBook of their choice off one of the Radar Posts (I’m going to link them to this post). It’s open to anyone, you just need to be able to read a Kindle Book. Unfortunately I can only gift Kindle books to people residing in the US.
Kindle Books can only be redeemed by recipients in your same country. Recipients outside your country will not be able to redeem any Kindle Books sent to them. You can distribute any unredeemed copies to other recipients or request a refund.
I wanted to make this giveaway international – at least open to anyone, but apparently there are rules to gifting Kindle books. 😑
This Giveaway will run from December 28, 2020 to January 4, 2021 at midnight. So, you’ll have until the start of 1/5 to get your entry in. I’ll announce the winners January 6, 2020 in a blog post, and I’ll send the books out that evening after work.
Also, please no giveaway accounts. I want these books to go to real people who will actually read them.
To Enter:
Fill out the Google Form attached to this post – Name, Email, Which Book + 1-2 sentences why you chose it.
That’s it!
I’m not asking anyone to like, follow or comment – though, all those things are highly appreciated.
** Bonus**
Each entrant is eligible for 1 extra entry if they follow, like, comment or retweet the post tweet – but these things are not required to enter the giveaway. Doing multiple of these things will not result in more than 1 extra entry. Each entrant can have at max 2 entries. If any of these things are done by the entrant, please specify in the designated area of the Google Form.
For the extra entries – I’m not asking you to prove you did them – I’m asking for honesty. If you fill out the form with all the info I ask, you get 1 entry regardless. I’d love to be able to do more of these kinds of Giveaway in the future, but I can see if number don’t add up.
Radar Posts:
Part 1 // Part 2 // Part 3 // Part 4 // Part 5 // Part 6 // Part 7 // Part 8 // Part 9 // Part 10 // Part 11
Click through them and figure out which book is one you’d love to own! Most – if not all – the books should currently be out, but if you choose one that’s not, that’s okay! I’m happy to do a pre-order.
On a final note:
I’m really appreciative of all the support I’ve gotten on Writing the Universe this year. I’m blown away by you all and I can’t thank you enough for the interactions, the support and buying the books I talk about and recommend. When I first starting this blog, I was astounded that even 30 people were interested in what I had to talk about. Now that I’m actually creeping towards 600…y’all. I have no words to appropriately express how much it means to me. I have hopefully big plans for next year – one of which is doing an international giveaway – so stay tuned for that! But for now, the least I can do is gift a few of y’all some really good, really pretty and just overall amazing sounding books. That’s what we’re here for, right? I hope you enjoy the rest of 2020 and I hope you enter!
I never realized Amazon had those rules, how unfortunate. I have to sit this one out since I live in Canada. I wonder why they can’t be sent worldwide?
Congrats on reaching your goals this year!:)

I didn’t either and I’m SO BUMMED about it. It’s probably something to do with copyright or something, but it’s annoying af. I’m gonna do another giveaway a little into the year, and I’m going to MAKE SURE it’s intl friendly.
thank youu!
