I cannot believe that March is over – that April starts tomorrow.
How are we already 3 months into 2021? It’s hard to wrap my mind around it.
This month has been exhausting, I can’t even explain it. All I want to do is come home from work and sleep. And when my alarm goes off in the morning, I question whether or not I really need a job, and if I can just sleep in.
But there is a plus side to going to work every day – minus the paycheck – I get to listen to audiobooks while I work. And this month – I listened to quite a bit. I’m not even kidding – it’s kind of insane how many books I inhaled. So, a lot of these posts are going to be reviews.
And on a little life update note – I went to Barnes and Noble for the first time in over a year on Monday. I swung by after work and decided to do a little splurge. I think the last time I physically went into a bookstore was either end of February, or early March, It was right before Maryland issued a mask mandate, and then like two weeks later (or something like that) everything shut down. I totally could have gone to BN at any point after things started to open back up, but I didn’t need to go. So, I stayed home and ordered online.
It was lowkey kind of surreal being back in the physical store. I honestly even had a little bit of anxiety about even going to the store. But now I kind of want to go back and buy more books. I forgot how much fun it is to do that in person – to pick up a book off the shelf and go buy it. I used to do that on almost a weekly basis.
