How are we at the end of another month? I swear the days are going by faster and faster.
I’ve been reading – though not to the extent of last month, and I’ve actually been watching shows and movies! I can’t seem to binge anything, but as long as I space out the episodes, then I don’t run into the “meh, I’m not feeling this anymore” stage.
And, everything I’ve watched in full, has left me wanting more – so maybe soon, I’ll be able to watch more than 1-2 episodes at a time, before I get bored!
What a weird goal to have lol.
I’ve read quite a few really good books this month, and right now I’ve got a few things started.
So, let’s dive in and check them out! Let me know what you’re reading and watching in the comments!
Muse – Brittany Cavallaro
I might be DNF-ing this book, but I’m not sure yet. I’m listening to it on Audio, and it’s really not holding my attention. I don’t really care about the world, or the main character. I haven’t decided if I want to just push through and finish it or call it. But there really is no drive to pick it up again. I had high hopes for this book, I thought I was going to love it.
Skin Curse – Kristin Jacques
When I saw that the audio was finally out for this book, I downloaded it immediately. By the time you’re reading this post, I will have started this book and I’m so excited. I’ve been wanting to read it for a while, and now with the audio, I’ll have the time!
Shadow & Bone (Netflix)
Technically I finished this two nights ago, but I’m just going to count it, since it’s still living rent free in my head. It’s been a decade or so, since I read the first book, so I really had nothing to compare the show to. Other than strongly believing that they packed too much into 8 episodes, that the pacing was way too fast – I enjoyed the show. The ending definitely made me want a season two, and I’m in love with Ben Barnes.
Country Comfort (Netflix)
I also finished this two nights ago, but this is just feel good, a bit goofy and cheesey and I loved every minute of it. I hope it gets picked up for a season 2, because I need it. It was just nice to be able to turn my brain off and just mindlessly enjoy a show.
I’m only maybe 20 minutes into this, and I think I’m going to enjoy it. It’s SF and it’s in space, and we all know I’m a sucker for both of those things.
