3 Books That Hit My Radar #26

I told you I had more books to share!

They’re seemingly popping out of the woodwork, so here we are! I’m going to keep this intro short and sweet as I want to dive into Daughter of Sparta before I go to bed. So, make sure you add these books to your TBRs.

All three of these books caught my eye due to their covers – because I mean, look at them.

The Elements of the Crown (The Elements of Kamdaria #1) – Kay L. Moody – I’m all for elemental magic, and competitions, and high stakes. This sounds amazing, and I can’t wait to dive in.

Kingdom of Rebels and Thorns (The Aermian Feuds 1&2) – Frost Kay – from my understanding this is a new bind-up of the first two Aremian books, which have been on my radar for a while. The series sounds really interesting and right up my alley, and I might have to finally dive in and see what it’s all about.

King of Battle & Blood (King of Battle & Blood #1) – Scarlett St. Clair – I mean…I mean…come on! I want this in my hands right now. I love her Hades & Persephone books, and this is vampires!! It’s an arranged (political) marriage and she wants to kill him. And they have chemistry! So it’s enemies to lovers? Or just Enemies with Benefits? Either way, I’m sold.

If you have read any of these, let me know!

The Elements of the Crown (The Elements of Kamdaria #1) – Kay L. Moody

Magic could save her life…
But only if hers is the best.

Talise can manipulate the elements with ease. Water, air, earth, and fire all bend to her will. As a citizen of the Storm—a crime-laden land where death is the only constant—her only chance for a better life is to become Master Shaper.

A competition for the position takes place at the end of her training years. If she wins, she could live in the palace, work for the emperor, and escape her inevitable death in the Storm. But she’s not the only one with a chance to win.

Aaden is another talented student. As a citizen of the Crown, he was born with unlimited privilege and resources. When someone from the Crown wants to win, they do. End of story. And his shaping is unlike anything Talise has ever seen.

Complicating matters, Talise’s loved one in the Storm gives her reason to abandon the competition altogether, forcing her to make an impossible choice.

Torn between duty and freedom, she must learn that clinging to the past, might destroy her future.

Kingdom of Rebels and Thorns (The Aermian Feuds 1&2) – Frost Kay

Long live the rebellion.

Tasked with infiltrating the palace was supposed to be an easy job. When Sage’s plans go south and one of her own betrays her, she finds herself captured by the crown. The cruel prince of Aermia thinks he has won, but the devastatingly handsome rogue has no idea who he is dealing with. By the time Sage is finished with him, the arrogant prince will be on his knees begging for mercy.

Tehl Ramses does not have time to play games with pretty liars. Immortal monsters lurk at the borders of their land waiting for a chance to invade. His only key to figuring out how to stop the incoming war is the most infuriating, and alluring prisoner he has ever set eyes upon.

Therein lies the trap. She’s no saint, and he’s no prince charming.

King of Battle & Blood (King of Battle & Blood #1) – Scarlett St. Clair

Their union is his revenge

Isolde de Lara considers her wedding day her death day. To end a years-long war, she is to marry vampire king, Adrian Aleksandr Vasiliev, and kill him.

But her assassination attempt is thwarted and Adrian threatens that if Isolde tries kill him again, he will raise her as the undead. Faced with the possibility of becoming the thing she hates most, Isolde seeks other ways to defy him and survive the brutal vampire court.

Except it isn’t the court she fears most—it’s Adrain. Despite their undeniable chemistry, she wonders why the king——fierce, savage, merciless—chose her as consort.

The answer will shatter her world.
