Making A Comeback?

I took pretty much all of last year off from blogging. I’d been feeling really burnt out and just not interested in creating content.

I’m not entirely sure I want to get back into it at the level I was, but I’ve been reading so many good books lately, I kind of want to scream about them. I’ve also been pretty successful in keeping a writing schedule, and maybe want to use this space as a way to keep me accountable – I’m not entirely sure yet.

But what I am saying, is maybe keep an eye out on this space in the near future. I do have two reads that I’m definitely planning on writing reviews for – so definitely look for those!

In the meantime, I have a few quick recommendations for you!

The Demon Queen Trials Trilogy by C.N. Crawford

I inhaled this trilogy. I had so much fun listening to the audios, was completely invested and really didn’t know what to do with myself after finishing them. It seems silly to say I don’t really have reasons why I loved this trilogy as much as I did – I pretty much only read for vibes anymore – but this hit everything I wanted and didn’t know I needed. I loved the plot, the characters, the stakes – it was just a really fun trilogy to dive into, and 10/10 recommend.

An Heir Comes to Rise Series by Chloe C. Peñaranda

The way I’m obsessed…

I kid you not, I’m utterly obsessed with this series. I read an eARC of An Heir Comes to Rise back before it came out and really enjoyed it, and then I just fell behind due to work and life. I’ve been doing the audios and I’m just blowing through them. I love the characters, I love the plot and the stakes and I simply can’t read them fast enough. I’m almost done book 4 and ugh, I need more. I need to go buy book 5 since it just came out, and I don’t think I’m going to be able to wait for the audio. Book 3 in this series had me feeling the same way as Heir of Fire did the first ever time I read it. The way I’m trash for Faythe and Reylan…

It’s been awhile since I’ve been this head over heels for a high fantasy, and I 100% need more.

Play With Me by Becka Mack

If you like hockey romances – this book is literally God Tier. I’m not even kidding. I’ve read my fair share and I’ve enjoyed pretty much all of them, but everything about this book just sets it apart from the rest. I thought nothing could beat Icebreaker by Hannah Grace and the first book in Becka Mack’s Playing for Keeps Series – but Garrett is what dreams are made of and omfg. Like, 10/10 recommend. This book is on the longer side of contemporaries, but it’s so good and honestly, I don’t mind that its longer – hell, it’s not long enough. I need more.

Zodiac Wolves Series by Elizabeth Briggs

I’ve been an Elizabeth Briggs fan for a bit now, and of all her supernatural/paranormal/fantasy books this has got to be my favorite. I don’t know what it is about shifter romances, but they’re addicting as hell, and I don’t know what she put in this one, but book 4 needs to come out on audio like, right now. So, if you’re a Fated Mates, Wolf Shifter Romance nut like I am, you should probably check this series out.

And for a final rec (for now) – I stayed up all night inhaling this one:

Carnage Island by Lexi C. Foss

This is part of the Reject Island series, but jfc, this book…

I haven’t read the other books in this series, but fated mates, rejected mates, reverse harem, dark and spicy wolf shifters? This was one BookTok rec that did not fail, that 100% came through and I legit could not put this down and just inhaled it. So another 10/10 recommendation.

I’m really going to try and make an effort to be more present on here this year – but it probably won’t be any kind of continued schedule. At least not at first. There will be at least one review up this month – I’m hoping for two, so definitely keep eyes peeled for those. In the meantime, tell me what you’ve been reading lately! My TBR is never ending, so let’s just add more to it!
