Sept’21 Book Haul

Well, I got book mail almost daily and I have nowhere to put any of them. I bought very few books in September; they were almost all pre-orders placed months ago. Pre-orders I pretty much forgot about until they showed up on my front porch. Or book boxes…I got so many book boxes.

Lowkey, this is why I hate pre-ordering. I never remember and then I end up with multiples of the same book, because I forgot. Okay, I don’t hate pre-ordering, but I really only do it when it’s like a week out from release. Special editions are different, but for a regular book, a week, maybe two, tops. Any longer, and I forget and then I have like 3 copies of the same book.

I really don’t know where I’m going to put them all.

At all.

I’m out of shelf space. 100% and don’t have room for more shelves.

Houston, we have a problem.

But anyway, let’s take a look at what I hauled in September, and you can cry with me about having nowhere to put any of them. Continue reading “Sept’21 Book Haul”

June’21 eBook Haul

Clearly, I didn’t pay attention to just how many times I One-Clicked books on Amazon…or pre-ordered them. I honestly can’t remember the last time I hauled this many eBooks in a month. Have a read any of them…well, a few. I mostly blame the Stolen Brides of the Fae series – because one, it’s a handful of books, and two, I went and bought some of the author’s other books. I mean, of course I had to look at their works and figure out if anything else immediately caught my eye…clearly, they did.

But most of these books are by authors I’ve read before – quite a few are new to me, and I’ve definitely found some new favorites. I don’t regret hauling a bunch of eBooks – they take up less space and honestly, are easier to read. I don’t know about you, but it’s a hell of a lot easier and comfortable to curl up with my Kindle over a physical book. With my Kindle I don’t need lights, or my glasses and at the end of the day, that’s preferrable. Also, eBooks just tend to read faster – I don’t know why that is.

But enough of me rambling on.

Let’s take a look at what eBooks I hauled in June – it’s a lot. Continue reading “June’21 eBook Haul”

June’21 Book Haul

So, I kind of went a little crazy with the book buying this month. I didn’t mean to, but when I actually looked at the list across physical, eBook, eARC and Audio – I was pretty wide eyed. I’m doing a whole separate haul post for the eBooks, because there are actually that many. I don’t even want to know how much I spent, I just kept One-Clicking. And I also hauled quite a few Audiobooks that weren’t on my TBR list at all.

An impromptu re-read of Jennifer L. Armentrout’s Covenant series with a friend led to those 5 audiobooks, and then another 4 for the Titan spin-off series. I absolutely loved re-reading the Covenant books – it’s still one of my favorite series, and I loved that I didn’t have the pressure of having to read it and review it. I just got to introduce it to a friend and listen to them with her. It was so much fun and honestly so relaxing. I’d kind of forgotten what it was like to read stress free. And then she wanted to dive into the Titan series, and I went with her. I haven’t read the books since their releases, so it’s been fun. I haven’t quite decided if I’m going to review them or not, or just 100% blissfully enjoy them.

And for the most part last month, I was mood reading, and that led to a bunch of audiobook downloads that I now need to read.

I loved what I hauled last month, and I love that I didn’t go crazy with a crap-ton of physical copies – I actually have room on my shelf for them!

So, let’s dive in and see what I hauled last month! Continue reading “June’21 Book Haul”

May’21 Book Haul

Okay, we’ve established that I have no self-control. So, this haul is vastly huge just like previous months. Despite having a long weekend to work on this post – since once again I apparently have more money than brains, I chose to read a book instead…and reorganize my bookshelves. Honestly, my time management could use some work.

Since, I opted to stay up and finish reading For the Wolf by Hannah Whitten, I’m going to leave out the ARC’s I collected, and those will be in a NetGalley Update coming at you soon. I’m also going to do a separate eBook Haul, since I kind of went nuts in that regard too – so keep an eye out for both of those posts coming at you in the near future.

Let’s dive into this, quickly – because I technically have to be up for work in like, 4.5 hours. Don’t judge, I could not put that book down – 10/10 do recommend. Continue reading “May’21 Book Haul”

Apr’21 Book Haul

Mistakes were made.

Mistakes.

Were.

Made.

I have no self-control. Clearly. I don’t really understand how it happened. I mean, I know I spent the money, but the books just kept arriving and suddenly I was neck deep in them. I don’t even know where the hell I’m going to pull all these books. I need another shelf.

But since this post is going to be a beast, I’m going to stop talking, and let’s jump into it. Continue reading “Apr’21 Book Haul”

Mar’21 Book Haul

You know, I thought I was doing so well. I resisted the temptation to just buy every single book I wanted…then Kindle had a sale.

And I bought pretty much all the eBooks I’d been eyeing for a while.

And then I listened to so many audiobooks. I inhaled a couple different worlds and series. I learned that when you listen to books at 1.5x-1.8x speed an 8-hour audiobook becomes really, really short. Like, listen in one day, short. Sometimes, 2 a day, short. So, I hauled a lot of audiobooks.

This month also consisted of quite a few pre-orders coming in, so do those really count? Like, I didn’t spend that money in March, so…

I also don’t know where I’m going to put these numerous copies of the same book. And of course, the books I bought multiples of are bricks. I have no regrets, but I think I’m going to have to go invest in another bookshelf…or two.

But let’s jump into this, because it’s going to be a beast. And for my sanity and your viewing pleasure, I’m going to format this slightly different that other posts – otherwise we’ll both be sitting here forever reading. Continue reading “Mar’21 Book Haul”

Feb’21 Book Haul

Well, I’m not going to spend much time talking, because this post is going to be a beast.

At the start of February, I thought I was going to be good – that I wasn’t going haul that many books.

Ha.

I was kidding myself.

I don’t really know how it happened, but here we are. I have no idea where I’m going to put all of these books – I’m going to need a new bookshelf.

I’m determined to cut back in March, because I can’t keep going at this pace – I’ll need to buy a new shelf every month. This means I need to stop pre-ordering because I think this is where I’m getting in trouble LOL

Not to mention the exclusive editions and boxes…y’all…

Anyways, let’s jump into this.

I did manage to haul quite a few eARCs last month, but I’m going to save those for the NetGalley Update Post I have planned for early next week – so stayed tuned for that. I don’t really understand how I managed to haul so many eARCs but I’m grateful and excited to dive into them!

What books did you haul last month? Let me know in the comments!

Jan’21 Book Haul

I really shouldn’t be allowed to have adult money, because I went a little overboard in terms of book buying this month. If Audible would give me back my ability to trade books that I didn’t love, it would be so great. As much as I love Audible, I think I’m going to have to supplement with another audiobook platform. You really don’t want to know how much money I’ve sunk into Audible since October. My eyes bugged out of my head when I did the math. Don’t get me wrong, I love Audible and will continue to use it, but the expense is just getting to be so much.

It also didn’t help that so many books came out this month and I needed them. This list isn’t even going to include all the special edition books/boxes I bought this month. And I definitely, 100% do not want to think about the dollar amount I spent – the audible cost itself gives me a really big idea. I also don’t want to think about where the hell I’m going to put all of these books, because I have no idea.

But the deed is done, so there’s no point in lamenting – I don’t regret it, because I love all the books, I acquired this month. So, let’s check them out! Continue reading “Jan’21 Book Haul”
