The Crying Book Tag

You know, The Fault In Our Stars was the first book to ever make me full on sob/ugly cry in a book. From there, I because an overly emotional reader. The next book to break me was Clockwork Princess. Now, it really doesn’t take much to get me to shed a tear or ten. My eyes will start burning, a lump will form in my throat and I’ll lose it…or suffer in quiet silence.

I listened to To Sleep In A Sea of Stars while at work, and I hit the end, and I was crying at a certain scene.

If it’s heartfelt, I’m probably crying.

I can’t help it.

Hell, I’ve made myself cry when writing my own scenes.

Long story short – John Green wrecked me for all emotional scenes.

He broke me and I’ve never recovered lol. Continue reading “The Crying Book Tag”

Mid-Year Book Freak Out Tag 2021

I can’t believe that we’re already in June.

How the fuck is it already June?

I swear we’ve entered into the movie Click, and someone is just hitting the fast forward button, because again, how the fuck is it June?

Now I’m having a crisis because we’re halfway through the year and that’s insane. I simultaneously feel like time is speeding by, but also not moving at all. Nothing changes, everything is just the same monotonous repetitive cycle day in and day out. Thank goodness for books – otherwise I don’t know what I would do with myself.

This tag was created by Chami, but I stumbled back upon it over on Truffle’s Literary Wonders – make sure you check out Emika’s post! I did this tag last year and really loved it, so I figured I would do it again this year! I’m not going to tag anyone in particular, but if you do, do this tag, feel free to tag me so I can check out your answers!

Let’s dive in! Continue reading “Mid-Year Book Freak Out Tag 2021”

The “Count to 10 With Me” Book Tag

It’s been a minute since I’ve done a tag, and I was going to peruse the internet to find one I hadn’t done before – but I happily stumbled upon this one over on One More Book. I was doing a little blog hopping, liking and commenting and this caught my eye. I loved Julie’s answers and thought this was such a fun tag, so, here we are. You should definitely check out Julie’s Post and her answers. I’ve been following her blog for a while now and I love her content, so you should definitely head over there and see what’s up.

The tag was originally created by Alyce, and you should check out her video to see her answers as well. Let’s see how easy or hard this is. I have a feeling I’m going to struggle with quite a few of these, but let’s go! Continue reading “The “Count to 10 With Me” Book Tag”

The Halsey Book Tag

Every soundtrack that Halsey puts out, ends up being music I can write to. And I can’t usually write while listening to music. I love listening to BADLANDS, and it was the album that introduced me to her as an artist – I can’t tell you how many times I’ve listened to it. But her latest album Manic is stellar and it has so many good songs that I’ve also lost count of how many times I’ve listened to it.

So when I stumbled upon this tag and saw the questions, I knew I had to do it. I found this tag over on The Cursed Books – I’ve linked Marta’s post, so make sure you go check out her answers! Continue reading “The Halsey Book Tag”

Book Adaptation Tag

I love it when books are turned into movies and shows. Even when they might not be the greatest or most accurate of portrayals, I’ll probably enjoy it. I love seeing the worlds brought to life in a new media and it gives me another way to consume the story.

I found this tag over on The Book Nut and I had to do it. Having just watched an adaptation, it seemed fitting! I’m going to link Jennzah and Erin’s post, so make sure you check out their answers!

Also, feel free to do this tag – I’m not going to tag any one in particular. If you do, do the tag, let me know! I’d love to check out your answers! Continue reading “Book Adaptation Tag”

Happy New Year! – The New Year’s Book Tag (2021 Edition)

Happy New Year! I hope everyone rang in the new year in some kind of fun fashion. It was a doozy of a year, and I legit feels like we just celebrate NYE 2020, yet here we are. It’s the first day of 2021 and I’m probably still in bed while you’re reading this.

I’m not a morning person on most days, so I’m definitely not a morning person, January 1st after drinking all night. But before I jump into this tag I found over on Clara’s Blog –The Bookworm of Notre Dame – I have a few housekeeping announcements.

Firstly – I’m still running the Radar Posts Giveaway – so if you haven’t seen or entered yet, make sure you do! I’ll be announcing the winners on January 6th. The entry window closes at Midnight of January 5th. So, you have time! I’ve linked it above so check it out.

Second – You might notice some changes in the way I format my posts. I’m going to try something a tiny bit new, a little more detailed. Depending on how time consuming this becomes, it might disappear depending how busy I am.

Third – while I’m always going to formulate this blog to what I like to write and present to y’all, I was wondering if there was anything in particular, you’d like to see. If there is, leave a comment below. I’m hoping now that work is out of Winter Rush, I’ll have a quite a bit more time to create content for Writing the Universe – and honestly just create I general. Or, if there is something you just want to see more of/less of, let me know.

Finally, not much else is going to change – I’m still going to be keeping up my series and I have a few reviews coming down the line. You can also look forward to a week packed full of posts next week. There are so many releases, plus my usual beginning of the months post. I also have my 2021 Anticipated Reads Lists coming at you, plus a new TBR, December Haul and Wrap Up Posts and so much more. I’m honestly not sure how I’m going to fit it all in.

Now, with that out of the way, let’s jump into this book tag! Make sure you check out Clara’s answers – and if you want to do this tag, then I’m tagging you! Continue reading “Happy New Year! – The New Year’s Book Tag (2021 Edition)”

The Christmas Song Book Tag

HOW is it Christmas Eve? I don’t understand it. I don’t get it and I have absolutely nothing wrapped. I have to work a half day today – kinda bummed about that, but 4 hours and then I’m off until January 4, 2021. And you sure as hell can bet that I’ll be reading my entire break.

Anyways, I’m back with another tag I found over on Michella’s blog – YaBooksGirl. I’m absolutely loving her content and she’s done some great tags that all happen to be a lot of fun to do. I’ve linked her blog post for this tag, so you should head on over and check out her answers.

I tag anyone and everyone who wants to do this tag! If you do, do it, please let me know so I can check out your post and your answers! Continue reading “The Christmas Song Book Tag”

‘Tis the Season Book Tag

We’re T-minus 2 days out from Christmas Eve and I haven’t wrapped a single gift. I’m also not entirely sure I bought something for everyone on my list. That’s being hella busy and having no time for you. Though, I think I’m good. It’s weird that Christmas is this week. I’ve said it multiple times, but this year feels like a time warp going at light speed. I just don’t understand where the year went, or how I’ve managed to blog at least 5 days a week for the whole of 2020.

Anyways – the tag!

I stumbled upon this one when I was searching for some fun holiday themed tags to do that weren’t the same ones, I did last year. I found this tag on YaBooksGirl and I loved Michella’s answers and felt inclined to do the tag myself! I also can’t stop singing ‘tis the damn season by Taylor Swift and while it’s not a holiday song, my brain is ignoring that for the correlation of the titles.

I hope you check out her post and if you’re interested, feel free to do this tag as well! I always love seeing your answers! Continue reading “‘Tis the Season Book Tag”
