Most Anticipated 2021 – Quarter 2

And somehow, we’re already into April.

This year is going to speed by, isn’t it?

So far this year, so many amazing books have come out. I’ve been doing my best to read a bunch of them. Not going to lie, it’s been hard. There have been so many and I’m quickly falling behind. I’m going to keep reading and getting excited about upcoming books. If I can’t read them, then I’m going to scream about them.

That’s what these Quarterly posts are for – to scream about some books! Books are constantly being announced and I don’t always see them when I do my main Anticipated Post – so these smaller ones let me spread the excitement for even more books. Now, I’m sure I’m still probably missing books – it’s inevitable. So, if there is a book (or books) that you don’t see on this list – feel free to leave a comment and tell me what they are! I’m always looking for new books.

If you want to check out my first Quarterly Post – you can check it out here.

You can also check out my Most Anticipated 2021 List – here – if you’re interested. I had to split it into two posts because there were so many books.

But let’s jump into this one and check out some of the books coming out over the next three months! Continue reading “Most Anticipated 2021 – Quarter 2”

Most Anticipated 2021 – Quarter 1

I actually contemplated not even doing this post, but I’d end up regretting it if I didn’t. I love using these Quarterly Posts to highlight books that are announced throughout the year. We all know that books are constantly be announced, covers constantly being revealed. And if you’re like me, you also know that no single Anticipated Books list is ever going to have every single book.

My list went live yesterday, and just today, I had books come across my radar that I forgot and didn’t know about – because of course lol. But that’s why I like doing these Quarterly posts – for me, they just help me organize and keep track of everything. I also use these posts for sequels of books that I plan on reading this year. Otherwise, my main list would be infinitely long.

It would also be a shame to let me hard work of creating my master list go to waste – so here are some more of the books that I’m looking forward to in the next three months! Continue reading “Most Anticipated 2021 – Quarter 1”

Most Anticipated Books – 2021 – Pt. 2

I’m honestly shocked there are THIS many books, and these are just the ones that I’m seriously looking forward to.

You’ll have to keep an eye out for the Quarter 1 post, but that one really shouldn’t be nearly as long. In total, I have 163 books in my master spreadsheet, so be ready for more to come your way throughout the year.

You can check out Part 1 Here

For now, enjoy part 2! Continue reading “Most Anticipated Books – 2021 – Pt. 2”

Most Anticipated Books – 2021 – Pt. 1

Okay, this is it! I’ve been working on this list for about a week and because I have so many books I’m looking forward to this year, I’m going to be splitting this list into two posts. I didn’t want y’all to have to scroll for forever. This way this list will also be more manageable. And don’t worry, I’ll be linking Pt. 2 once I get the link – I still have to write the post lol

I wasn’t anticipating having over 150 books for the year, but here we are. My poor TBR is going to die. My wallet is going to die. I’m going to need a whole other room to house all of these books. I’m not going to ramble for much longer since this post is already going to be long, but I have a few little announcements first.

Firstly, I’m not going to be including the synopses for these books in this post – we’d all be here all day. I will be including the Goodreads link, so you’ll be able to check them out.

Second, I’m still going to be doing my Quarterly Anticipated Reads lists – these lists will include sequels and other books. I do these posts every 3 months, and this allows me to add books that might not have been announced yet but are throughout the year. So, if you don’t see a book on this list, don’t be alarmed! Also, if you have a book you think I should check out, feel free to leave a comment!

Lastly, this is not a definitive list of everything coming out – just what I’m anticipating. I’m sure I’m missing books, because there are a lot coming out and I’m not perfect.

I hope you enjoy this list and add some new books to your TBR! Continue reading “Most Anticipated Books – 2021 – Pt. 1”

Most Anticipated 2020 – Quarter 4

I have one word.

HOW?

How is it already October? I know 2020 has been one giant freaking time warp but come on.

We’re wrapping up a year of amazing releases – seriously, so many – and yet, we still have 3 months left. I don’t even want to think ahout the sheer amount of money I’ve spent on books this year, but I don’t regret it. If there were ever a year to buy books galore, 2020 is it.

So, here’s my final Quarterly Anticipated Reads list of 2020. Let me know if I left anything off it that you think should be on my radar! I struggled to find Dec release – so either not many exist, or lists just aren’t comprehensive yet.

Continue reading “Most Anticipated 2020 – Quarter 4”

Most Anticipated 2020: Quarter 2

How are we 3, well 4 months into 2020?

On one hand it kind of feels like it’s flown by. On the other, it feels like it’s been a year already. Though I am glad that we’re only 3 full months into the year. But I’m back with the second Most Anticipated Quarterly Releases.

This is the second installment of this – I guess you could call it a 4-part series – where I tell you about some upcoming releases that I’m excited for.

If you’re like me, and you’ve looked at lists of 2020 releases, you know that there are a ton and to list them all in one post would cause anyone to lose interest.

So, I decided to break them up. This method also lets me add books that might not have been announced when I first made my master list back in December 2019. New books are constantly being announced, and this gives me the flexibility to add them, without feeling like I’ve ignored them in my overarching Most Anticipated list – which you can check out here, as well as my first Quarterly list here.

Since I’m a tad late in getting this post up, a few of these books are currently released. This list is tailored to my interests, so if a book you’re anticipating isn’t on here, it might not be for me, I might have overlooked it, or just might not have heard of it. With that being said, feel free to leave a comment, because I’m always looking for new reads!

Let’s jump into the books.

Which could spell death for us all.

the best laid plansThe Best Laid Plans – Cameron Lund

Release Date: April 7, 2020

Links: GR / Amazon / BN

It seemed like a good plan at first.

When the only other virgin in her group of friends loses it at Keely’s own eighteenth birthday party, she’s inspired to take things into her own hands. She wants to have that experience too (well, not exactly like that–but with someone she trusts and actually likes), so she’s going to need to find the guy, and fast. Problem is, she’s known all the boys in her small high school forever, and it’s kinda hard to be into a guy when you watched him eat crayons in kindergarten.

So she can’t believe her luck when she meets a ridiculously hot new guy named Dean. Not only does he look like he’s fallen out of a classic movie poster, but he drives a motorcycle, flirts with ease, and might actually be into her.

But Dean’s already in college, and Keely is convinced he’ll drop her if he finds out how inexperienced she is. That’s when she talks herself into a new plan: her lifelong best friend, Andrew, would never hurt or betray her, and he’s clearly been with enough girls that he can show her the ropes before she goes all the way with Dean. Of course, the plan only works if Andrew and Keely stay friends–just friends–so things are about to get complicated.

Cameron Lund’s delightful debut is a hilarious and heartfelt story of first loves, first friends, and first times–and how making them your own is all that really matters.

A lawless wilderness. A polished court. Individual fates, each on a quest to expose a system of corruption.

The desolate canyons of Alcoro—and the people desperate enough to hide there—couldn’t be more different from the opulent glass palace and lush forests of Moquoia. But the harsh desert and gleaming court are linked through their past, present, and future: a history of abductions in the desert to power Moquoia’s quarries and factories, and a bleak, inhumane future built on the sweat and sacrifice of these bond laborers.

But events unfolding in the present could change everything. In the desert, outlaw Lark—known to most as the Sunshield Bandit—has built a name for herself attacking slavers’ wagons and freeing the captives inside. But while she shakes the foundation of Moquoia’s stratified society, she also has to fight to protect her rescuees—and herself—from the unforgiving world around them.

In the Moquoian court, young ambassador Veran hopes to finally make his mark by dismantling the unjust labor system, if he can navigate the strict hierarchy and inexplicable hostility of the prince.

And caught in the middle of it all, Tamsin is trapped within four walls, the epicenter of a secret political coup to overthrow the Moquoian monarchy and perpetuate the age-old system of injustice.

Separated by seas of trees and sand, the outlaw, the diplomat, and the prisoner are more connected than anyone realizes. Their personal fates might just tip the balance of power in the Eastern World—if that very power doesn’t destroy them first.

2020 Most Anticipated Reads

I can’t believe I’m doing another one of these posts. It feels like I just wrote my 2019 one, and now here I am again. 2020 releases – at least the ones I’ve found so far – sound so amazing and I’m so ready to dive into these books. My wallet and bank account may hate me – especially in March (there are a lot of books coming out then) – but I’m excited. I’m excited for this new year and what it may have in store. It definitely won’t be lacking in new and amazing releases that’s for sure.

2020 also looks like it’s going to be the year of incredibly gorgeous covers and it’s not fair. Even if it’s not a book that’s even on my radar, I’m still going to want to buy it for the cover alone. I’m weak, what can I say?

To be honest, I shouldn’t even be looking at 2020 releases, seeing as I’m behind on 2019 releases…and 2018…and 2017…I mean, the list goes on. But you know what, who cares? I don’t.

It’s fine.

This is fine.

I’m fine.

*hyperventilates into a bag*

This list is going to be long – so I’m going to apologize in advance. I did my best to narrow it down, especially since I’ll be doing my Quarterly Releases posts again this year. I wanted this post to cover all the books (that are currently announced/that I’ve heard of) that I’m excited for throughout the whole year. Anything that isn’t on this list, is most likely going to be on the Quarterly Releases one. Also, if I’ve missed anything that needs to be on my radar let me know!

BED!, or is it the infamous Queen of Hearts saying…something about her head? Soon, Alice must decide whether to stay in Wonderland forever, or embrace the pain of reality if that’s what it means to grow up.
